A very interesting question. I think the danger would be to miss the signs of their dysregulation, and we would confuse it with personality traits. I think that there are kids that don’t control their behavior not because they suffer from trauma, but because they have not been disciplined. If you treat the undisciplined as traumatized, or the traumatized as undisciplined, you’d miss the understanding of the child’s needs. Maybe?
